I’yani Dozier, AKA Groovy / AniTheGoddess / Peace Foot is a new-age singer/songwriter currently learning three instruments. Omi is an internationally recognized spoken word artist, an actress, singer, organizer and rap lyricist. Her voice has been heard on national campaigns for Sephora on racial bias, the adultification of black girls for Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality and a local campaign for Reproductive Justice for UnRestrict Minnesota.
Tearra Oso & Luis Ortega-Castrellon are performing artists, educators, and Afro Boricua culture protectors who have curated a powerful, interactive workshop for all ages to practice movement, songs, & rhythms that have been passed down from our West African & Indigenous Boricua ancestors. Collectively these artists have over 60 years of experience practicing this ancestral technology known as “Bomba” and are excited to share this knowledge & healing with the community.
